The Long Wait
Still been on and off sick. Forget what it is like to be 100%. Forget what it is like to drop into a meaty wave. Forget what the ocean tastes like. Snuck in a couple short surfs though. Feelin' that turnin' point soon. Know it'll be a stellar February. Calmer air and cleaner swell.
Jay Alders paintin'. Longin' for those nice warm summer peaky groundswelly daze. Meanwhile. TSJ readin'. Uke fiddlin'. New board makin'. Stayin' stoked.

this damn cold has me (and everyone I know) too. Hoping to get back in the water on Sat. Hang in there Spring is around the corner.
My feet are still numb!
Like that painting - Jay Alder - can you point me in the direction of any more of his stuff? If you liked that you might like Harry Daily's work. Hope you're feeling better soon man. By the way, I stuck a link to your place over at my site...

I'm wishing it were warmer, too. I even started wearing gloves for my morning sessions. I just wasn't digging the stiff joints in my fingers hours after a surf.
Funny stuff Ras. Well if the waves weren't "fuckin" "shitty" "shit" those couple of days I wouldn't have sworn.
By the way, love your link to that "mc ti" site. Holy shit them is some good riddims he throws up there on vinyl.
be sure to wear that mask while you're shapin' and stop that smokin' and drinkin' and you'll feel better in no time!
OMG I'm rated G, not even PG
Hardy har har - I'm a feckin R - what's the rating for hard core over there?? I just try harder.
I'm right there with you mate, and managing to get better just in time for the am hight tides. Stoked.
Being sick is always a time to look forward. I understand the sentiment. But it wasn't so long ago last Fall that many folks were pining in their blogs for those bustling big winter Northwests. Get better soon and enjoy the moment best you can.
